Real Over Perfect

Ayni Mama is a space for moms to say: I know I won’t always get everything right, but I’m willing to give it my all.

Parenting doesn’t come with a handbook. We carry our own childhood, its successes and its wounds.

Then suddenly we’re handed these tiny humans to raise. No map. No manual. Just our best intentions and a heart that loves more than it always knows how to express.

And at some point, the parts of ourselves we tucked away come back to greet us … this time in the form of a much cuter, smaller version of us.

Parenting is messy. Some days feel aligned, connected, almost effortless.
And some days … we miss the mark. We get triggered. We get tired. Our emotions don’t always follow our plans.

But what would it feel like to be honest with our children, and with ourselves?

To tell them gently, I’m still learning too.

That is where the strength of a relationship is born.
This can become the foundation of trust, a relationship rooted in truth, presence, and love that evolves as we do.

For so long, I tried to get everything right. I read the books, bought the Dr. Becky courses, and followed the rules. I chased perfect motherhood like it was a destination.

But the magic was in the moments when I got it wrong and accepted it.
Because that is where my growth happened.

A journey of releasing perfection and welcoming lightness.
Of learning to self-regulate when life felt heavy.

Of accepting myself and my daughter for all that we are, our differences, our beauty, our becoming. And ultimately, with the goal of raising confident girls who feel seen, supported, and deeply loved.

Ayni Mama is a space for mothers choosing progress over perfection.
Here, you’ll find a community of women who embrace the mess and the beauty of motherhood,
without needing to get it all right.

If you’re ready to take that next step and cultivate a loving relationship with yourself and your daughter, join our first retreat in Asheville, NC, on April 23–26, 2026. Visit aynimama.com to learn more.
